I entered a competition to design a carrier bag fit for a queen, hosted by the luxury retail packaging company, Wrapology. I got through to the finals and my bag was put into production and exhibited at the Sheridan & Co. gallery in London. I was inspired by the theatrics of the Royals, always presented in the jewellery, the palaces and the glamour. Shown to us via the media in a flush of sparkle, we are so used to seeing their faces but they remain largely anonymous. I wanted to create a graphically strong bag that could be seen as a more contemporary alternative to the heritage imagery more often associated with the Royals.
